Starting again for the first time

Hello.

Welcome to my new blog. Tonight is Friday, March 25, 2011. I've created this blog to serve as a repository for my thoughts about... being creative. I live in a conundrum of sorts. I am a professional technology worker, and am amazed at the abilities that modern technology gives all of us. And yet, I have this desire to be NOT like anyone else. If I can't be the best, the most unusual, the smartest... then I'd often just rather not play. So in a world where it seems like EVERYONE has their own blog, for me to jump right in and join the crowd seems quite... well... ordinary. But as I've given this some thought, the following two points have come to mind.

• First, not everyone is doing it. You're just seeing those who are.
• Second, if everyone is doing it - so what?!

Ah, that is the rub for me. Is it because I was generally the smartest kid in class while growing up? Is it because I was quite spoiled as an only child? I don't know. And it doesn't really matter.

Well, let's see then how this goes.
