Hello again -
I find that I live in two worlds sometimes. The "default mode" is that where I'm doing the things on my checklist: paying the bills, taking out the trash, scooping up the dog poop. The other mode, that which I'm in at this very moment, is the more exciting mode: life planning. Dreaming, thinking of what could be, imagining having a cottage near the Irish Sea, visualizing having my own business. At this stage, though, I have a bit of a disconnect when it comes to converting these dreams to action items. I mean, it's reasonably straightforward to reverse engineer those dreams to actionable items in the here and now. But unfortunately, my brain has over 41 years or training in doing the default things. It may not get me to Europe... but at least the backyard gets free of poop. Sigh...

Starting again for the first time
Hello.
Welcome to my new blog. Tonight is Friday, March 25, 2011. I've created this blog to serve as a repository for my thoughts about... being creative. I live in a conundrum of sorts. I am a professional technology worker, and am amazed at the abilities that modern technology gives all of us. And yet, I have this desire to be NOT like anyone else. If I can't be the best, the most unusual, the smartest... then I'd often just rather not play. So in a world where it seems like EVERYONE has their own blog, for me to jump right in and join the crowd seems quite... well... ordinary. But as I've given this some thought, the following two points have come to mind.
Well, let's see then how this goes.
Until next time,
Yebay

- First, not everyone is doing it. You're just seeing those who are.
- Second, if everyone is doing it - so what?!
Well, let's see then how this goes.
Until next time,
